BTV Noise Monitoring and Flight Tracking System

Welcome to the BTV Public Portal.

As part of our commitment to community outreach regarding operations at the Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport, we have installed a noise monitoring and flight tracking system.  The community can now access aircraft flight tracks and associated noise levels at our three noise monitoring sites by using this tool.

Designed to increase understanding about BTV overflights, the Portal allows you to watch time-delayed movement of aircraft in transit around the region. Please note that there are limitations to the Portal’s software. Please note not all operations will be visible with this software.  Some military operations will not appear per federal requirements.

Noise monitors have been installed in the cities of South Burlington, Winooski, and Williston.

Noise Complaints

Users have the option of submitting a written comment regarding aircraft operations on this website. Your comments will be documented and time-stamped. The Airport will provide a monthly report to the BTV Airport Commission regarding all comments received. A map of noise complaints overlaid with the current Noise Exposure Map (NEM) can be found below.

Information regarding the use of the Public Portal can be found on the help guide within the portal itself.

*For all military noise complaints, please contact the Vermont National Guard at (802)-338-3000 and select option 3.
